“The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not ‘get over’ the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same nor would you want to.”

  • Elisabeth Kübler-Ross

Hope is the one constant. The hope that you will feel better, that you will “get over” such an enormous loss is as constant as the knowledge that the sun will rise at the beginning of each new day.

You do need hope, but hope that’s directed towards living for today. Reach out to someone else. Channel yourself into positive things that are around you. Your new hope should be that you live your life as fully as you can each day.
