How To Deal With Feelings of Depression

List several things that helped you keep going in the past when you felt depressed.
Example: Shower as soon as I get up;
take meds earlier so I am not ‘hungover’ in the morning, etc. ‣
Write all the thoughts or affirmations you can think of to help you cope with depression.
Example: I will feel better after I have been awake for a while.
Or, I am stronger than my depression. ‣
Write as many actions as you can think of that help you change your focus when feeling depressed.
Example: Sit outside in the sunshine.
Take the dog outside to play
Listen to upbeat, happy music
Visit a flower shop
