Cut Yourself Some Slack

Enjoy the Journey

Remind yourself that getting there is not always the point. Practice mindfulness to put yourself back in the present moment. Enjoy where you are in the process.

Look for the Lessons

Have you failed at something recently?

If so, instead of beating yourself up, take a moment to look for the lessons

and learn from the situation. Remind yourself of just how valuable these

lessons are.

I went through a divorce in 2017, it was awful because how I was looking at it

along with how I felt about it. But I took some valuable lessons from it,

lessons that I probably would not have learned because of my personality

type. I learned how important self-awareness truthfully is. We are blind by

our pride and ego when it comes to seeing ourselves honestly.

My marriage served as a purpose and setting for me to receive valuable

insights and revelations about the flaws, imperfections and shortcomings

that needed my attention so that I could progress to the next level of my life.

Could it have been done differently? Perhaps, but I believe it was indeed the

will of God in that season.

I had left my hometown when I was 30 years old and returned when I was 52

years old with my husband. Only because he became ill and wanted to return

to our hometown. I am really glad that I had the opportunity to reunite with

my family. It was really an eye-opener. I had been working with strangers for

so many years, I was able to share a lot with my tribe who was really glad and

happy to see me.

It was a steppingstone, wilderness episode and a journey leading to a better

me which is still in progress. I am still enjoying the journey by exploring,

learning and growing until I meet Jesus Christ. How is your journey going?

Be Kind

Cut yourself some slack. When you get caught up in a negative cycle of self-

talk, look for something positive, you can say instead to reinforce just how

wonderful you already are.

When you know yourself, your strengths and weaknesses, you are doing good.

When you understand yourself, you are progressing.

When you accept yourself, you are invincible

because what you cannot change God will give you serenity to

accept it, and He will give you the courage to change the things that

you can!

You are wonderfully made by the Creator of the Universe!

You are exploring, learning and growing and God loves you.
