Am I My Brother’s Keeper?

Regarding life together and getting along with each other, you don’t need me to tell you what to do. You’re God-taught in these matters. Just love one another! You’re already good at it; your friends all over the province of Macedonia are the evidence. Keep it up; get better and better at it. MSG

How can I love God who I can not see, and not love my brother who I can see?

I was talking with my brother yesterday, discussing his present situation. I really felt empathetically connected to him, however, what amused me was his humbleness in the midst of his brokenness. It was my pleasure and honor

to join him in prayer and thanksgiving unto the Creator of the Universe. While fellowshipping with my brother the echo of his voice revealed what it must feel like as a man reflecting over the totality of his life. I understood that despite his altered mental status, his intuition was intact because nothing mattered but transparency and total surrender to the Creator of the Universe. My heart bled with tears for multiple reasons, but I was sustained by His might and Spirit.

Ladies and gentlemen, sometimes your assignment or purpose on this planet is not always a what? Where? Why? but just a simple Who? Am I my brother’s keeper?
